What a wonderful book on Reiki! Brooke was my Reiki teacher a couple years ago, and was just amazing...learning Reiki from her was one of the best experiences of my life and it changed me in many profound ways. So when I saw that she had written a book I was so happy. I just loved reading this and it refreshed my love for Reiki. It contains a brief and simple explanation of Reiki, enough to let you know if you would like to learn more, and it also contains some beautiful wisdom for anyone (interested in learning Reiki or not) on how to live more peacefully and happily. The book feels very soothing and peaceful and knowing Brooke, that is because it is infused with her essence...she truly "walks her talk" and is one of the kindest and most loving people I know. So if you you want to learn the basics of Reiki, enough to know if you would like to learn more and get an attunement, I strongly recommend this book. And if you DO decide to learn Reiki, there is no better teacher out there to learn from than Brooke!

This was such a wonderful addition to the Belle Fourche series. Natalie Oleson arrives in town looking for her relatives who own Broken Circle O ranch. She needs to reunite her father with his brother before her dad passes away. But first she needs to find the ranch. She runs into the bank and finds Cody Hammond and asks how to get to the ranch. This starts the relationship between them.Cody Hammond is always unpleasant and doesn’t like things in his life to be unordered. So when Natalie comes into his life and disrupts his life, he doesn’t know what to do. He’s unpleasant to her, ignores her but she still insists on her father making him a prosthetic limb so he can walk again.Natalie and Cody felt right together. They both had pasts they needed to deal with and they both need each other even if they don’t at first realize it. The story flowed at a steady pace and let the two of them get to know each other better.Ms. Trumbo had to do a lot of research for this book, to make sure things were accurate. Very excellent book and I highly recommend it to others. Even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone book.

I am really enjoying reading this series. The characters are all so well-developed and the writing is captivating and heartfelt. In this story, Cody, the brother of Eli's wife Anne, is moody and gruff and just a little on the caustic side. But we know why he's like that, and as his story progresses we see him reconcile himself to some misconceptions and allow himself to consider a different life than he previously could.Natalie Oleson lands on her uncle's ranch with her dying father and three unruly brothers. Still reeling from her mother's death a decade before, she's not ready to lose her father and the life he's provided for her. She's drawn to Cody for more than just the opportunity to reinvigorate her father with a new assignment, but she doesn't quite know what to do with Cody's anger and ambivalence.This is a true slow-burn romance, one that requires both MC to reassess their plans for the future as well as develop their faith and ability to trust. It's a beautiful story, well-told and full of faith and family values. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Cody is bitter about the blows that life has dealt him. Cody's curiosity about why Natalie is in town eases a little of his bitterness. Even though Natalie is bringing her father home to die, she still is in denial. If Natalie can perk her father's interest in helping Cody, Natalie believes it will give her father the will to live. As Cody gets to know Natalie, it brings them closer together as they help each other. I received a free copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is a wonderful enjoyable Christian historical romance. I would give this a 4+ rating. Natalie and Cody are very real believable characters. This was a very fast read for me because I couldn't wait to see what happened to the characters. I recommend this book and the series.

Natalie Oleson, her brothers, and father traveled to Belle Fourche to mend the rift between her father and his brother Nathan before her father dies and so that his children can be with family after spending his life traveling to make wooden limbs for those who needed them. Banker Cody Hammond lost his leg in an English war. But he’s lost more than that. His fighting parents forced him to go away to war and put him in an abysmal asylum when he returned. He has seen so little kindness that he is surly to scare people away. Natalie thinks helping him will give her father a reason to fight to live. She never expected to lose her heart. This was another wonderfully stirring romance by Kari with broken characters that help each other heal.

This was the first book that I have read in this series and I found it interesting enough to keep turning the pages. I knew nothing of the dynamics that may have lead to prior things in the Olsson family and I had no problem falling into the story and reading about Natalie and Cole's interactions. Quite the opposite doesn't begin to cover it. This was a short quick read so not an awful lot of depth, but enough to draw the reader into the story. A book that I would recommend for a clean, sweet, inspirational base.I received an ARC copy of this book. Saved by Grace is another well-written, clean, historical romance by Kari Trumbo. Natalie and Cody seem total opposites, but need each other. They are both well-developed characters that I grew to love. The plot is interesting and moves at a good pace. I enjoy Ms. Trumbo's use of dialogue. Cody to his boss, "I thought you wanted me to be more friendly." To which Langerford replies, "More friendly than a grizzly with cubs, yes. As friendly as a puppy, no." She creates such pictures with her writing! I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.

Natalie always wants to help people. Together with her father she makes new arms and legs for the people who needs them. Then there is Cody who is missing a big part of his leg. Most of his life he’s been miserable and angry. He don’t know how to be kind but Natalie just wants to help him. How these two people connect and make each other lives better you have to read for yourself.I really enjoyed reading this book. The slow buildup of their relationship was entertaining to follow.I received this book from the author, this review is my honest opinion.

Enter Natalie, who's had her own heartaches. She likes to help anyone, good or bad. Together and apart, these 2 help each other learn important things in life. They both also have family who some try to help and others not so much.Grab a copy and see what life is like for each of them and how theirs and their families lives are changed.
