Dr. Javaherdashti has been the member of prestigious professional corrosion associations such as NACE (USA) and ACA (Australia) for many years. It is a nice reference book. It really gives you an overview of biological corrosion. I was expecting a thicker book, but I guess the information is concise and detailed enough for someone starting to learn the field. It was also the only book that I could find in the area.
