I liked this book so much I bought the entire Mitch Rapp series. The last time I did this was with Harlan Coben. Two book are part of Kindle Unlimited, whereas the rest are all regular downloads.Highly recommend for vacation reading or as your nightly read. I couldn't wait to get back to my reading at the end of the night.

I've been thrilled to "discover" this writer. As technical as Clancy et al, and certainly a student of the machinations of the power structure of our Government. Too bad it's fiction, because we certainly need some real solutions to the problems we've been facing for several administrations. However, if I may dissemble: while dusting the household library shelves the other day, I ran across my 1971 hard cover edition of "Day of the Jackal". Do not confuse the writings of Frederick Forsyth with any of the film adaptations. This is a book for the ages, and has certainly influenced a great number of writers to examine the political intrigues of their nations and periods of history. I feel that Flynn has assumed the mantle woven by Forsyth, and graciously carried it into our present age and location. This is not plagiarism, this is a living tribute to the types and art of excellent writing. I love this series of books, and admire the agility, dexterity and imagination of the writer(s). There are very few writers on my "5 Star" list, these make the cut, and I feel that they will stand the test of time. Thanks for listening to my musings.

I've just recently started reading Vince Flynn on a recommendation and am now a huge fan. I am reading the Mitch Rapp books in order and this is the best so far, although I thoroughly enjoyed the others. It is exciting and fast-paced. A superb read. I felt like I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. I really laughed at the reviewer who said the story line was not plausible. Apparently he is very young or has been asleep since 2001 because I remember like it was yesterday when those amazing heroes took down the plane in Pennsylvania on 9-11 that was heading to destroy the White House -- by Muslims. I live in the DC area so I know how real it was and the panic that ensued. What is most eerie is that this book was published in 1999. Further, people need to remember that these books are fiction and not documentaries. I am looking forward to reading all of Vince Flynn's books and also will read Kyle Mills. RIP Mr. Flynn.

I really enjoy the special ops genre of books and had high hopes that I would get that in this book series. I have thoroughly enjoyed the books by Brad Thor, Brad Taylor and Jack Coughlin and was hoping the Mitch Rapp series would be along the same lines. But that was not the case. Much of this book was spent focusing on the politics and power plays instead of the special ops side. Mitch Rapp was described the CIA's top assassin in the war on terror. In the book he is described as the perfect killing machine. However, most of his time was spent hiding in a closet while the politicians duked it out in the political arena. If you like Tom Clancy, you'll probably like this book. I will say that i thought the book was well written and the characters were well developed. If this was my type of novel, I would likely give it 5 stars.

This is one of the best of the 17 novel series. My favorite of CIA black ops guy, Mitch Rapp. Even though Vince Flynn passed away at an early age, the current author is excellent and in the true manner of Flynn's writing. This series is a true page turner and highly recommended for suspense and thrills. Can't putt the books down until finished then you just want another one to read!! I can picture Aidan Turner (BBC/PBS "Poldark") as Mitch Rapp in a dreamed of future movie - he has the eyes and intensity described as the hero character (besides, he is gorgeous).

Mitch Rapp is the best counter-terrorist operative the CIA has. He has been hunting number one terrorist Rafique Aziz for nearly ten years, coming close several times and sporting a scar on his cheek as a constant reminder. When Rapp sees the opportunity to capture Fara Harut, Aziz's mentor, he takes it. The CIA then uses "cutting edge" measures to extract information from Harut, and find out That Aziz is planning an assault on the White House. Unfortunately, the information come a little late and Aziz is successful in his plan. The president however has made it to his bunker where he hopes to wait until a rescue operation is mounted. The terrorists have wired all entry points with explosives and control 76 hostages. They also jam all communications, cutting the president out of the loop and placing the Vice President temporarily in charge. Enter Mitch Rapp and an Unlikely partner Milt Adams. Together these two are the United States' best bet to end the standoff and free the hostages and the president. To find out if Mitch Rapp is successful in his attempt to save the White House and even the score with his nemesis Rafique Aziz, you'll have to read the book. This book is full of action, political back stabbing, and secret alliances. I very much enjoyed this book. Vince Flynn will be missed very much.

Outstanding writing makes this action adventure thriller almost perfect. In real estate lingo it’s all about location, location, location. Well, for me and books it’s all about the writing, writing, writing. After reading the first three books in the Mitch Rapp series I’ve come to the basic conclusion that Vince Flynn is one incredible author. He formulates riveting and well-structured plots and highlights them with a clever cast of unique characters. In this book the story centers on an assault of the White House. Flynn sets the stage in a clear and engaging manner, and then guides the reader through a well-crafted and creative narrative. Captivating, addicting, exhausting, and oh so delicious. It is top-notch entertainment. Why did I wait so long to read this?

This is a thoroughly researched and well written true crime story about the infamous Norco bank robbery of 1980. The author recounts the events of the botched robbery and subsequent battle between the thieves and police in so much detail, that the narrative puts the reader squarely in the moment in a second-by-second way. That part of the book reads like a thriller. What gives Norco '80 its depth is how the author went inside the lives of the various people involved, and provided a mini biography of many. He did this not just with the robbers, but with respect to all the law enforcement personnel who became involved in the incident, bystanders who got pulled into the nightmarish drama in one way or another, the court officials who became involved in the subsequent trial, etc. So when reading the book, you not only have an in-depth understanding of why the heist attempt and all that happened after it occurred, but you see into the minds and hearts of the people who were involved, and understand how they might have been feeling during the various events. The book will make you shake your head in disbelief, will terrify you, possibly anger you . . . but whatever your emotional reaction to the narrative is, you will understand what went down. This title has everything a reader could want from a true crime book, and then some. Highly recommended.

One of the advertisement blurbs likens this book to Wambaugh’s “The Onion Field”, and I think the analogy is warranted.Like Wambaugh’s book this one relates the true crime story of the Norco bank robbery in 1980, which involved several SoCal law enforcement agencies in a massive pursuit and running gun battle with the bad guys, in which several people were wounded or killed.There’s a pretty large cast of characters, on both sides of the law, and author Houlahan follows their stories from start to finish, all the way to the long-term consequences – in some cases – almost 40 years later.There’s no unwarranted over dramatization. Houlahan keeps it clean, as the story in and of itself is inherently dramatic and tragic. In fact, his factual presentation highlights that fact, bringing to mind another book, Capote’s “In Cold Blood”.The only nit I can pick is that there are some minor (in most cases) technical errors when it comes to passages dealing with the weaponry. Most people probably won’t catch them, but I’m a gun guy, so those things kind of jumped out at me.I strongly recommend this book if you’re at all interested in the true crime genre.

His brother committed suicide in the middle of town, leaving him alone with his alcoholic mother and no choice but to abandon his dreams of college and stay home to take care of her.His depression at an all time high, Ben plans on following his brother when he sends up a prayer to a god he doesn't really believe in.The answer to that prayer is Summer Smith. In town for the summer to help her aunt, the two meet and become fast friends. Summer's need to help people, and figure out her own path in life, both bring them to love, and almost drive them apart.Love's Prayer is a sweet romance with some dramatic themes. Well written, it's a quick and engaging read. I loved the fact the story was built on interpersonal relationships, not sex. The main characters fell in love slowly and honestly. They were real, and Summer was a strong woman not willing to sacrifice her beliefs. It was a welcome change of pace, and I will certainly be finishing the rest of the series. Melissa Storm is a pro at character development, and it shows.I read this book at just the right time. It left me with a reawakened sense of hope, and really made me think. When an author touches my soul that way, you can bet I want to sing their praises.

The whole first half of this story is so depressing. So much so, that I almost gave up on it. I read for pleasure, not to get more depressed. Reading is a way for me escape, and to forget the bad things going on in the world around me. But I stuck with it---because I'm stubborn and rarely give up on anything--- and I'm glad I did. This story has a powerful message, if you are willing to listen and take heed.

Sorry to say I barely started this book, by about chapter 4 I was irritated & bored. Ha e got to the age that life is too short to read something that doesn’t spark an interest. Probably being unfair but nothing clicked for me. Ben was irritating me from page one. Apologies to the author & readers who may have loved the book. A good point was no foul language in the short bit I read.

First and foremost, when I’m reading a book, I ask it to move me. Then I want it to entertain me. If there’s learning to be had along the way, that’s a bonus. The number of soggy tissues beside my chair attest to how far this book moved me. I haven’t experienced everything Ben goes through, but as the adult child of an alcoholic myself I can sympathize with a lot of it. There are so many heartwarming, silly moments in this book that I was well entertained. And I don’t think I can list all the lessons that this story brought to mind without being in danger of giving away the best parts of the book. I didn’t expect this book to have this kind of an emotional impact on me.

I have decided to start at the beginning of this great series as I have read one of the books further along. Depression is a very strong topic of this book that a few readers may have a bit of an issue reading about, but as you can be assured there will be AHE. I felt the story was very uplifting and the characters are a wonderful couple to get to know. Faith and hope are all you need to look toward to improving your life something I myself have looked at in recent years just like our characters. Love’s Prayer and all The First Street Church books will fill you with joy and happiness in this Christian romance series that I would highly recommend.We meet Ben Davis at the lowest point of his short life and it’s a life shadowed by tragedy and sacrifices. He makes a desperate plea to God to give him a sign of what to do even though he is not a full believer in God. He gets an answer that may just brighten up his day or maybe just his whole life. He has done everything to help his mother and to do the right thing, but he feels like his life is on auto-pilot.Summer Smith has moved into town for a short time to help out her Aunt while she tries to decide what to do with her life now college is over. Sweet Grove is a great little Texan town with a very close-knit community where she soon finds herself a few new friends. Her Aunts Florist shop is not her dream job or even a job she is good at but a promise is a promise. One mistake leads her to Ben Davis and his mother how is spiralling out of control. Her caring nature is to help and it also a bonus that their a few sparks when she is around Been. Summer is only in town for a few months so romance is not on the cards but a friend is always welcome.Ben wants more than friendship with Summer as she has changed his life forever and has made him start to believe life can be better.

Not my favourite book. It was OK. No swearing, sex or cliffhanger, which is good. So why not a better rating? Besides the things I don't agree with, the story was repetitive and a bit drawn out. In its favour, it has a good ending.

Ben reached the end of his rope. His brother committed suicide a few years back; his mother was drinking herself into a stupor, and he gave up his dreams of going to college to take care of his mother. Ben lost all hope, and he was ready to end it all. Out of the blue, he received a bouquet of roses, but he knew that no one could be sending him flowers. He went to the florest to return the roses, only to find the answer to his prayer.Summer was there for a short time, taking care of her aunt's flower shop. When Ben shows up to return the roses, she asks him for help. This is where their story begins, but how does it end? Ben's life is in shambles, and Summer was not there to stay. Can they find a way to be together? To find the answer, you must read this inspirational small town romance.

This is so much more than romance. This is finding someone who "gets" what you are going through, made it out alive and is more than willing to help you get out too. So many layers in a relationship and breaking through the first set is usually a challenge most don't want to partake in. A spirit lifter right at your fingertips~

In 1962, my Dad took me to a Doubleheader at the Polo Grounds where the New York Mets were playing the defending National League Champion Cincinnati Reds. The Mets won the first game, and before the 2nd one, I walked down to the edge of the Mets Dugout, peeked in, and saw Casey Stengel looking out at the field, seemingly lost in thought. He was the oldest man that I had ever seen in a Baseball uniform, and his face was craggy and exuded many miles of character. It made a profound impression on me. The Mets proceeded to win the 2nd game in 14 Innings on a Frank Thomas Home Run, and I became a devout Mets fan for life on that day. It started with Casey Stengel, and Marty Appel's wonderful book brings Casey to life in all it's dimensions. I learned so much about his early years in the book, and also about his times of success and failure. In many ways Casey was perceived as larger than life, but he had foibles and deficiencies as well, and Mr. Appel's account is well-rounded. This is a terrific and engaging book.

Casey Stengel has been a hero of mine for many years. He persisted in the face of numerous challenges (read: genuinely awful ball clubs), and he did so with humor and elan. He loved baseball and gave it everything he had. This new biography gives Stengel fans a chance to relive most of the choice anecdotes from his long, varied, storied career, but it offers little that is new. The author justifies this new effort because an unpublished memoir written by Edna Stengel that was not available to other biographers was available to him. Edna's notes reveal three truths: 1.) Edna reveled in the glory of being Mrs. Casey Stengel; 2.) she and Casey actually spent very little time together throughout the course of their marriage, and 3.) her declining years were even more heart-rending than was previously known to the public. But with the exception of that third item, the other knowledge could be easily inferred from Robert Creamer's excellent--and in this reviewer's opinion, superior--biography, entitled Stengel: His Life and Times. That said, it's always a fun ride to revisit Casey, and I will credit Appel's version with one hilarious tidbit that I honestly did not know: Stengel's first professional baseball club was nicknamed the Lunatics. Give Appel a read and you'll see why that's fitting.

This book is the complete story of Casey Stengel from his upbringing in Kansas City to his dominance of world of baseball in New York. It is interesting to see how many great baseball players Stengel played with and managed over the years. Once his glory days were over with the Yankees he helped rebuild interest in National League baseball in NewYork after two baseball teams left the city for the west coast. The original Mets were love able because of the personality of Casey Stengel. This book is a fascinating history of how one man dominated the sport of baseball over the years. Casey Stengel was an ambassador for baseball and sports in general prior to ESPN and the MLB network. This book makes it clear that there will never be another Casey Stengel in any sport. This book is a must read for any sports fan and required reading for any Met or Yankee fan.

I grew up in the NY area towards the end of Stengel's Yankee career and was an active baseball fan when he took over the helm for the Mets. I was never a huge Stengel fan as he seemed more of a "clown" than a baseball genius so I was interested to read this book and to learn more about the man who is legend. At the close of the book, I set it aside with one thought: "Wow!" While it helps to be a baseball fan to get the most out of Appel's work, this book successfully works on many levels. For me it was less about baseball and more about a man and wife that lived a life they loved, faced adversity but persevered, and ultimately must have closed their lives without regret because they were able to live their lives focused on what they loved. Stengel was very good at what he did for a living, loved the career that he chose, and shared it with a woman he adored.A wonderful, well written work by Marty Appel.

For those of youse growing up as Yankees &/or Mets fans in the 1950's-60's, you recall Casey as the craggy faced skipper who spoke Stengelese. This book gives a much fuller and nuanced look at the Old Perfesser. It starts with his playing days and describes his talent and personality as a major leaguer. Mr. Appel then spends considerable time talking about Casey's ups and downs as a minor league manager. Included are how he dealt with players, coaches, owners and GMs, showing sides of him that are unknown to the general baseball fan.He goes on to recount Casey's managerial time in the majors, describing the above-mentioned relationships, showing his character strengths and flaws; his showmanship, and his catering to various sportswriters. Yet we're always brought back to the great baseball mind Casey had. He also talks about Casey's post managerial life and the long married life he had with his sometimes suffering wife, Edna.Many of Casey's mentioned quotes are priceless. You could look it up.Though the book is 400+ pages, its a fast read, not because it is facile but because of Mr. Appel's breezy and enjoyable writing style.I take leave of this review with 3 words that will live in history, Let's Go Mets.

This book felt very dated to me, and my students disliked it, finding it too complicated. I agree with some other reviewers that it might get you to remember the word and some of its meaning, but it ends up being rote learning.Re: DatedThe cartoon and mnemonic of "affinity" relies on Chinese stereotypes. This is bad in general, and worse when (like me) you have lots of Chinese students. "Alleviate" has a weird image of a "native" (clearly African) eating leaves as medicine. There are other "natives" used for "phobia." "Bizarre" uses a stereotype of turbaned Arab traders selling odd things. "Tourque" has a mockery of an image of a Turkish man. The only non-white characters in the book are all ludicrous stereotypes! A teacher who is worried about sexist imagery would have a field day this book as well.

I really like the way this teaches vocabulary and spelling. I just wish the books were a little larger. I ordered a previous version of Vocabulary Cartoons by the same company, and the book is so much larger. I love the format, though. I think this is an amazing way to teach kids to remember words. I wish I had had something similar when I was in school!! It makes learning fun. Every word has a cartoon, pronunciation key, "sounds like" example, and sentences that use the word in various forms to further understanding. At the end of each 10 word set is a matching/fill in the blank test. Very good book. (Same review for Vocab. SAT book 2.. I ordered both.. I love them!)

This book is great! I am halfway through the 290 words and I remember all the ones i learned! the mnemonic devices utilize one way the brain learns: visual association. this book is not kidding when it claims that you will learn "a word a minute and youll never forget it". The visual mnemonics are hilarious and silly, often ridiculous, which is great because our brains tend to remember anomalies, and pictures are worth a thousand words remember? The pictures are very well done too. Here's one of my favorite examples:HUSBANDRY(HUZ bun dree)n.management of resources, esp. in agricultureLink: HUSBAND TREE*picture inserted of a woman standing proudly holding a pitchfork next to a tree. Male farmers are shown hanging by their trousers on the branches*"To help in her HUSBANDRY chores, Aunt Emma had her own HUSBAND TREE."(Examples Sentences)Bud's superb HUSBANDRY of his orange grove resulted in a larger than expected crop this year.(HUSBANDRY is the practive of conserving resources; to HUSBAND is to economize) Experts say the world's oil resources will soon be exhausted, and we must soon begin to HUSBAND oil.Everyone in our squad HUSBANDED their share of water for the long trek back to the barracks.This mnemonic method helps you not only learn, but retain hundreds of words. So the next time you encounter the word husbandry, you will automatically think "husband tree" and then the picture of a bunch of men hanging from a tree will come into your mind, and then you will remember the funny sentence, and finally, the definition. btw, this will all happen in an instant. The three example sentences will help you learn the words in context, and there is a review after every 10 words to assess what you learned. This book will be extremely helpful for the SAT!However, there are reasons why I didn't give this a 5 out of 5 rating. For one thing, there are only 290 words in this book. yes, there is another volume, but in total there's only 580 words, and you need to know more for the SAT. i recommend getting a vocabulary book like Princeton Review's Word Smart or Norman Lewis's Word Power Made Easy as a supplement. yes, they are not quite as fun as VC, but they do have a lot more words.Two, sometimes the link word and picture have NOTHING to do with the definition of the word, to the point where the mnemonic can't help you memorize the word. For example, what does a man being stuck in an AIRTIGHT jar have to do with being ERUDITE?Three, the words in this book are particularly easy. I knew a lot of the words in the book before reading it. for example, ajar, aftermath, abhor, allure, alternative, antecedent, appalling, artisan, aspire, astute, asunder, assuage, bizzare, bleak, certify, chide, comprise, cower, cranny, creditor, criterion, damper,deft, dillema, disperse, docile, dormant,embellish, emit, embody, endure, enrage, entice, emulate, evoke, feign, generalize, giddy, gloat, and more and I'm only halfway through! But then again, my vocabulary isn't that bad, so it depends, are you a vocabulary Einstein? If you are, say a junior/senior in high school and very diligent in memorizing list after list of words, then this book will not be a doozy. But if you are a lazy person lacking of vocabulary and don't feel like memorizing mundane lists but need a quick and easy method to memorize words, then this book is perfect! however, it doesn't hurt to reinforce what you know right?The gripes I have do not take away from the quality of this excellent book and the effectiveness of the methods. I can't wait to read the second volume as well! Definitely buy this book NOW, you will not regret it!

I home school my son and we love this vocabulary book used to supplement his Language Arts learning. It is presented in a fun format with the cartoons and gives several examples of each word in a sentence to increase the understanding. My son is a reluctant learner on the Autism spectrum and loves this book.

It was very informative. Amazing life and way to grow up and able to end up in the NHL. That says a lot about him, he is one strong and determined man.

This was a great book - I bought for my nephew who is a big Jordin Tootoo fan. I took the time to read it before I gave it to him, and it really gave me an appreciation of what is must have been like to grow up in Nunavut and then move down South to join the NHL. The book makes me want to visit Nunavut and explore (preferably in the summer).

A quick but interesting read. One of my new favorite players on the New Jersey Devils hockey team. Just ordered his newer book My Life on Ice - can't wait to read it too!

Great little small book

I love Tootoo and I love the Predators. This book was very informative with really nice pictures of Tootoo and his brother. GO PREDS!!

Tootoo comes from a Canadian province that only has 28,000 residents. That's less folk than the population of American Samoa! His background sounded a bit like Sarah Palin's: living in/near the tundra, hunting food, eating raw meat, etc.Later in the book, Tootoo stated that his parents required that he perform well in school. However, there's a focus on not being gentlemanly while playing hockey. His father coached him to play rough. He gained roughness by playing with older guys. The book speaks a lot about him fighting on the ice and admits that some fans just wouldn't be entertained if hockey players didn't engage in fisticuffs. Unfortunately, I do fear that this ruffianism plays into the stereotype of the "wild savage."I'm so glad the book includes the phrase "highs and lows" in its title. Yes, Tootoo is a barrier-breaker and role model. However, his brother committed suicide. I never got the sense that Tootoo obtained a school diploma. The book concludes with the suggestion that he might not be playing in the NHL for much longer because most players have short careers. They show him in a photo with a black eye. Like many books designed for young readers, it has gushy parts, but it does show that no one is perfect.What shocked me the most, however, was the book's format. When the librarian passed the book to me, both of us had our jaws on the ground because the book is so small in size. It's about the size of my hand! The American-produced books that I have read about American athletes are larger, in color, with big fonts, etc. This book is paperback, only has B&W photos, has small print, etc. I don't know if Canadian publishing houses just don't have as many resources as their American counterparts or if Canadian children will grab a book that is just not all that eye-catching.

About the Author

E. W. Bullinger (1837-1913) was an Anglican clergyman, theologian, and Biblical scholar. He was also a direct descendant of Johann H. Bullinger, the Swiss reformer. Bullinger was a lifelong scholar and writer studying at King's College, London. In 1862 he was ordained in the Church of England. He is also the author of the notes and appendixes of “The Companion Bible” and the author of numerous works including “Commentary on Revelation,” “Great Cloud of Witnesses,” “How to Enjoy the Bible,” and “Numbers in Scripture.”

In this book, published in 1895, Bullinger demonstrates that the constellations, and specifically the signs of the Zodiac, are actually a perversion the the 12 signs called the Mazzaroth by God in the book of Job.He suggests that the signs were basically intended as a set of three heavenly books, each with four chapters, to present the 12 pointed message of God's redemption plan for mankind.He then walks the reader thru each sign, orchestrating historic & Biblical evidence to present the meaning and significance of each sign.The writing is of an older style that is not as easy to follow in some places, and he often appears to start sentences in the middle of a thought in this book. He integrates Hebrew and Greek words into the argument, making it a goldmine for Biblical language students and enthusiasts but a bit confusing for folks with less interest or education. However, these portions can be simply skimmed over with minimal loss of continuity if desired.In spite of the shortcomings, this book is an eye-opener and a goldmine for anyone with interest in the subject, and can inspire a desire to look closer at the constellations and to dig deeper into their significance.I found it intriguing, inspirational, and thought provoking. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.Note: My copy is actually a 2011 copy by Martino Publishing of the second edition from 1895.

Once upon a time, people did not have paper. They passed knowledge down from generation to generation telling stories using what they saw in nature, especially the enduring stars. And not simply any knowledge, but important scientific knowledge about the timing of seasons (required for things like the critical science of agriculture) and how spring would return from winter. And layered top of that, stories of heroism, miracles, and sacrifice to make those stories impactful, meaningful, and memorable so they could be passed down through the ages. This fascinating book succinctly connects the full zodiac of stars (constellations) to the ancient story attached to them, which endures to this day. An important work.

This book explains how the Word of God was revealed before Moses was commissioned to write the first five books of the Bible. Recently I met someone to tried to convince me that Christianity is merely a copy of Egyptology since Egyptology was the first religion written about. In truth, Egyptology is merely a counterfeit of the primal prophecy in Genesis 3:15. Once the devil was given the primal prophecy, he set about to counterfeit it to fool people. The Witness of the Stars shows, from Scripture, how God named the stars and how the pictures of the Signs were drawn to preserve the meaning of the names of those stars. Each sign has three constellations. Bullinger goes through each of thes signs and their respective constellations and gives the meaning of the names of the stars. Clearly the Word of God is written in the stars -- not the Mystery held secret from ages and generations -- but the gospel of Jesus Christ which was revealed in encapsulated format in Genesis 3:15. Highly recommended as are all of Bullinger's works. You can tell those who really research God's Word from those who merely parrot what others say.

This Kindle edition of this book is almost unreadable. It must have been electronically scanned from a hard copy because some words are just bunches of letters and occasionally you can make out a word if you imagine two letters are actually one like "l and r" really was supposed to be an "h". The line spacing is way off too and such large spacing makes reading difficult. Obviously there were graphs and pictures in the hard copy but most of these are left out of this e-book so sentences like "as shown in the graph above" are meaningless.I found the book on-line in a website devoted to the author's writing, and it is very interesting.http://www.heavendwellers.com/stars_chapter_one.htmThe author's hypothesis is that God's revelation of his plan for mankind was made clear by the pictures He put in the stars and man was aware of this plan from the days of Adam. Over time mankind forgot the actual meaning of these star pictures and corrupted them for their own purposes. He proceeds to show how the zodiac can be interpreted to see clearly the original meaning of the star pictures and how they tell the story of God's plan for mankind.The interpretation of the zodiac is quite complex but very interesting. We have been having tornado warnings for the last few hours so I have been trying to read and keep track of the storms on TV, so if I was able to pay full attention to the book it might make reading it even easier. LOL I have recently read "The Days of Lemech" and "The Days of Peleg" by Jon Saboe, which are fictionalized stories of what it may have been like before and immediately after the great flood of Noah. Many of Rev. Bullinger's theories of the origins of the zodiac fit nicely with the story lines of Mr. Saboe's books.
